I liked that even the borg feared them.Q didn't "start" the whole Borg, he simply introduced Picard to the Borg, as a warning. Otherwise the Borg would have eventually overrun the Federation as they would have had zero info on the Borg (it is implied that is what happened in the episode Parallels, one Enterprise is shown to be from a Borg-infested universe where the Borg had conquered the Federation, and the Enterprise was one of the few remaining Starfleet ships) --- Insert some witty line here ...
