Topic	I'm playing Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth for the first time spoilers as I go
Robazoid 08/07/25 2:59:40 AM #325:	-And, finally, it's time to talk about the one and only Yuffie! It should come as no surprise that she tops my ranking. I love literally everything about her. I love the bratty little sister vibe she has, where she kind of annoys everyone but they still love her. I love the sheer number of comedic moments she has, whether it's her endless self-confidence, her love for Materia, or her motion sickness. Thinking back on the game, the moments that stand out most are all amazing Yuffie gags, such as: -Yuffie is motion sick on the buggy, so they pull over. Hard cut to Yuffie splayed on the ground groaning in agony. -The little chalk drawings Yuffie left to guide Cloud when they split up on the mountain. -Yuffie learning about a world-ending Black Materia and... not giving a damn about any of that, she just wants the shiny Materia! -When Yuffie ran into Kyrie and got annoyed by her, because that's how most people see Yuffie. I honestly could go on and on. Yuffie can always make me laugh. But, she's not just comic relief. This game did a great job expanding her character and motivations. The flashbacks to the events in Intergrade and her memories of Sonon always got to me. Her role as a patriotic Wutaian was also compelling. I liked how she enthusiastically supported a war against Shinra to avenge their national honor. Yuffie also had a great dynamic with everyone. As I mentioned before, she's the bratty little sister who gets on everyone's nerves, but in an endearing way. Add in the fact that she's the undeniable MVP in combat and... yeah, Yuffie is my favorite, no question. I'm looking forward to finally seeing Wutai in all its glory in the third game! They also hinted that she might be able to rescue Sonon (or at least recover his body), that'll be neat even if it means seeing lame-ass Nero and Weiss again. The important thing is, from the moment she was introduced, Yuffie was the best.
