I've been sitting in this thought that no matter how bad things get it'll never get that bad, surely.

But like...why not? All the same technological advancements exist in India. What doesn't exist are worker rights, OSHA, sufficient workplace compensation, access to education, social safety nets. It's a giant overpopulated mess of unskilled labour with low social mobility.

You know, all that stuff that billionaires and republicans are actively dismantling at a rapid pace. Exactly like the east india company successfully did

Seems like our entire expectation of a comfortable middle class life is rapidly disintegrating in my lifetime. How poor are we all going to be in 20, 30 years?
