Well that sucked. Not like Luke or Janine really deserved it, but I was hoping one of them could pull it off somehow just so this season wouldn't have been a boring Parvati steamroll since after Kirby went. Sad to see Cirie be the first person to lose two fire making challenges in one season, though she did better this time (though I also think Luke did much worse than Sarah). But that's classic Cirie for you. If I was ranking this among US seasons, it'd definitely be in the bottom third. Compared to the New Era, probably below everything except 45 and 47. Parvati isn't nearly entertaining enough that we need to hear from her 70 times in a season. Especially when we don't even get to know who Tommi from Finland is. If this is what Australian Survivor is, I don't see myself investing into a full 24 episode season, because it's just not good enough for it. Makes me think all the love for it is just people mad at Probst's dumb decisions praising any sort of alternative. Same with Jonathan. He was just kinda... there, I guess? It doesn't help that they had all these live tribals so it was so easy to tune out what he was saying. While I wouldn't say he needed to be fired, I don't really get the outrage over it.
And leaving this part out of the spoilers because I don't think Inviso reads them, but Inviso would hate Australian Survivor. It's filled with everything they hate about Survivor post-Cambodia, except for the stupid journeys. Maybe it's better in a full season, but you could've called that any 30s era Survivor season and I wouldn't have been surprised, except for maybe the edit being Samoa level unbalanced.
