Amarant is kind of the anti-party member. He has no goals, has no purpose, and doesnt want to be connected to anyone. Yet he does end up connecting with Zidane and learning that people dont need a reason to do things. Sometimes it is just doing that is enough.

But yeah he really needed more time.

Freya is the real tragedy though. One of the coolest character designs ever (seriously, they made a rat woman cool and incredibly sympathetic at the same time), gave her the most tragic events, and then she is sidelined for most of the game after that, when it becomes the Vivi and Garnet show.

The game is great, but it is so good that I wanted to see more of these guys. If the remake is real, Amarant, Freya, and Beatrix all need more.

Quina is fine how she is. She works as the weirdo of the party who kind of just tags along. But she does have that really great scene with Vivi, and the cooking scene where she actually says a lot of poignant things,
