After that the plot kind of loses it's momentum and you're largely meandering and experiencing plot reveals that aren't that interesting.
I don't think the plot becomes bad after that but the game becomes more stereotypically JRPG after that. I personally think
if Louis stayed dead he would go down as one of the greatest video game villains of all time. (I am assuming he would still be part of the story with flashbacks). He becomes a much more generic and stereotypical JRPG villain after that. I would still keep the Prince is the MC part, I found that to be really good. Obviously though the final part of the story would have to be retuned and it would be possible it could be worse than what we got.
