Went into a narrow street by accident. I got over to let a car pass and unfortunately got to close to a mailbox and knocked it over with the mirror.

I told the lady I'd fix it. She called Police. Fair, next. She wanted me arrested for the damages to the mailbox screaming I ran from them and was driving drunk. The frame was still intact, the box was knocked over but wasn't even dented. She demanded it be reported to my auto insurance. One of the Cops told me it was a simple accident and a quick fix. No real harm done. I just pay her and be on my way. She was finally convinced to let me pay.

She called me up today saying I would owe them $2000. I told her to go to hell as I know that's BS. She said she was quoted at $1500. I told her she's either a moron or thinks I'm one. Now she's going to take me to court. I will pay but not $2000. If she thinks I will pay $2000 she's crazy. She claims the entire thing was ruined and had to be rebuilt from ground up. New cement, new pole, new box.

Guess I gotta take it to court.
