It was depressing even with money. I felt like I needed work quick with 40k and the rejection emails are terrible. I couldn't even be bothered to play pc games with all my free time.Looks like it depends on what is meant by "with money". There is enoygh to be okay out of work for awhile as you search, and then there is set for life. I know from my experience earlier this year that the former is still very stressful. While I wasn't anywhere close to in trouble yet, partly because I had severance, I had this fear that it would take me well over 6 months (if not over a year) to find a job and then it would have become an issue.
