TBH I still find the Trump-Putin situation a little hard to read.

There's the obvious suspected and probably somewhat true allegations Trump has connections to the Kremlin and may or may not be some kind of plant (or at least one of the many many many pies the Kremlin has had their fingers in for decades in the hopes one of those pies would go on to do something).

But despite that Trump's actions flipflop from sycophantically sucking up to Putin to the actions most reminiscent of a child throwing a tantrum because their idol is completely ignoring them.

While Putin presumably has an in with Trump I still can't really decide whether I think he's an actual plant or if he just idolizes him and is prone to getting bigly mad when ignored and may, still, potentially turn on Putin.

That said we've seen this song and dance before and I'm officially at the point where I won't believe Trump's actually going to do anything until it's done. To his (once only) credit he can sometimes be a "man of action", as evidenced with the Iranian bombings earlier this year (and he has, seemingly, actually put the boot into Netanyahu to play ball at times), so it's not off the table that he may eventually do something. But until it happens it's just pantomime theater at this point.
