It's never been so overwhelmingly ****ty until this era though. The music industry is too busy lazily pumping out sensations who make autotuned easy-to-play music for the 15 year old girl demographic who eat it up because they've never heard anything better.
What would a guy who's been dead for 20 years know about current mainstream music?
Because the same sort of corporate culture that exists today was on the rise back when that was recorded.
