When I was in school you got about 5 minutes between class, which was just enough to go to your locker, get books for the next class, and get to class. If you carried all your books with you you would maybe get 1 or 2 minutes to talk if that. You never got to have long conversations, that only happened during lunch and maybe study hall if you had a teacher that let you talk. --- I am a senior software engineer.
