Well if the value of the dollar was anywhere near where it was like 15 years ago, and $20 bought me a cart full of groceries (like it did in about 1999 or so) rather than just a pack of chicken and a carton of milk (like it does now) maybe all milennials would dine out more often.

Its funny to me how many things tie into each other too..like Fabric Softener for example....the same companies that make fabric softener also make laundry detergent. They make "special" detergent that promises to keep clothes "fresher" and implies that fabric softener won't be needed as its all in one...

...Then when people see that prices of both products are going up, so they opt for the all in one instead of paying for 2 items, those companies blame the consumers...

It really is accurate. Yes, I do clearly remember being able to buy a whole hell of a lot more for $20 in 1999, and now I mean it when I say it gets me 2 items. Maybe "cart full" is a bad term, but the $20 bill had waaaay more value to the point where it's actually frightening.

Those that use bar soap and share a shower with more than one person (besides a SO i guess)... do you guys have a bar of soap each or what? every time i see only one in a shower I just imagine everyone else cramming that very bar between their ass cheeks, armpits, and genitals and I'm just like no. i'll wash my hands with basin bar soap though. gel for lyfe.

I don't get why people rub the bar on their body directly anyway. I always rub the soap onto my hands and then lather up. You're gonna miss spots with an inflexible bar.

Well, maybe these things wouldn't be dying if they weren't worthless. Well, most of them are.
Also, we as a generation have way less disposable income because everyone thought it'd be a great idea to let lenders scam us and colleges price-gouge us.
Oh, and if IIRC, "real" wages(i.e. wages adjusted against inflation) have been stagnant for a little over 30 years now.

1. Because we don't have the disposable income to buy useless shit constantly

2. The internet has let us know that a lot of things are useless, immoral, or straight up scams. Like the diamond industry and it's fake monopoly. Also homeownership is not always a good financial decision depending on which area you live in and your lifestyle. I live in LA county there's no way I would even consider homeownership in the state of California. I'm not spending millions for a 2000 sq foot box somewhere.

- RuPaul is single-handedly saving reality TV right now
- Pop music is mostly trash, that said there's at least a couple bomb albums a year. And then there's Carly Rae Jepsen's "Emotion" which pretty much re-affirms the thesis of pop music from 80's synthpop to now.
- I don't know what your beef is with store-bought juice.
