Trespasser changed a lot of shit, added gear, refined the classes for the better, as well as being the best story content of the game. It also solidified the solas romance as the best in the game, as if it wasn't already(well, tied with dorian).

Jaws was fun from a gameplay perspective, lots of challenging fights, weak from a story perspective.

Yes, it's very mmo-y, but a lot of the fluff can be skipped, it's just that most people get bothered by leaving shit undone.

The Dragon fights were great.

No, it's not as good as origins, but that's a really high bar to beat. It certainly was better than da2.

The combat was fucking excellent though.

I enjoyed DA:I a lot more than any other DA game I've played.

Confession: I'm a major witcher fan. Read all the books in English, played and loved all 3 games, consider witcher 3 one of the finest games I've ever played.

But Dragon age inquisition was more fun.

Witcher 3 is a phenomenal game, but it's combat is ass. Even I will admit that

What's wrong with Witcher 3's combat? It's not the most amazing I've ever played, but it's still pretty fluid and intuitive. I've had more trouble with idiots attacking from the camera's blindspot than I ever did with the combat itself.

My favorite combo was me as a rogue, with solas until you know, then dorian, and blackwall . Blackwall is 100% unkillable, and if my pc went down in a fight, I'd take control of him and solo the dragons lol.

I'm biased though, that was the last run of the game I did(3 total), with the solas romance, and the only time I played the game with trespasser installed.

Same reason I don't dig the combat that much in arkham and ass creed. I don't like the standing in place and reacting to enemies. I like to be the aggressor.

I really wish I liked that game more. Actually playing is really boring and not fun for me.

Try playing as a mage or one of those fighters who can charge into crowds and gain armor. I enjoyed those builds way more than archers (for instance).

I've tried every class. I've probably put more than 50 hours into it trying, but it's like Mass Effect 1 tier as far as gameplay.

Disagree

Thought the game was boring and I hated most of the characters.

I can replay Inquisition endlessly and never get bored, and I'm honestly not really sure how I do it.

Likewise. I think for the same reason I played WoW for 10 years.

I also replayed origins probably a dozen times over the years.

There are several times in a year where I'll go on Dragon Age binges and play nothing but the DA series or a month or two straight.

Here's the odd thing, though. I really don't change up my playstyle that often either. I always play either a city elf DW rogue or a mage Warden, I always play a mage Hawke, and I always play an archer or mage Dalish Inquisitor. I just do the same stuff over and over again, and somehow never get tired of it.

Heh. I played all the origin stories in 1, but only went for full playthroughs with characters I liked. I played through 2 twice and never looked back.

I couldn't stomach more than an hour of Inq.

Always really liked inquisition, despite its flaws. It was easy enough to just ignore most of the MMO style quests, and only do what was needed to progress stuff. Plus. it has some fantastic characters.

DLC just made it even better, for me.
