What's your Dark Dragon strategy? Are you using Orlandu?

I'm kinda questioning Shelke's usefulness because I think I need the party buffs more than I need a super fast entrust.

I'm not really convinced Shelke would help me all that much. I've just never used a dedicated entruster.

If I end up diving Shelke, it will be because most Bravery+Vitality dives are meh, and you kinda have to dive one of them to keep your motes balanced.

Yea, plan is to dodge the first fang with Agaris and TGC.

Hoping with Shelke I can avoid using Agariss OSB and instead use her burst and still get over the cap

Finally beat Mist Dragon under 30 seconds! Just barely through! I'm starting to use more lvl 99 RM like Orlandeau's and Garland's.

I think my run needs at least one proc of imperil holy and one proc of double cast white but other than that it isnt very RNG dependent. Only SBs are Wall, TGC OSB and Agaris OSB. And a Ystola burst heal but that could be basically anyone spamming R2+ Curada

Tyro is like half dived other 4 are full dived (for TGC 4* dived)

I think I just won the idiot award...

I went to grind Sealion and brought Fabula Raider as RW. I changed up the party that I normally use last time I fought him, but for some reason he was beating the shit out of me tonight. Of course my stubborn ass was like, this worked for me last time, surely I'm just doing something wrong. It took me close to an hour to finally give up and try something else, when I finally realized...Fabula Raider doesn't give protect and shell. I've been using Rikku USB RW a lot lately and somehow got it in my head that it was the same thing.

I'd like to sub 30 Shadow Dragon but I lack Orlandeau's OSB. I have Agrias and Locke's OSBs but Locke's probably isn't good enough to sub 30. I also have Firion's USB but the problem is that he doesn't have access to any 5* or even 4* holy abilities despite Dena constantly giving him holy infusion soul breaks. I can beat him with a mage team but only get :50~ ish since the only holy magic users I have are Raines, Hope, CoD and sorta Mog. I guess I can try Shelke battery to Hope and have him spam OSBs once I get those vit *4 notes but that probably still won't be enough to sub 30 him. I'm also waiting on the Madeen ability to come out.

Guess I'll just wait until the FFTA banner and ability buff. I can beat Mist Dragon around 25 seconds now since I swapped Rosa for Relm and switched Nabaat's holy resistance to a magic +30 accessory so I'll just farm holy magicite and orbs in the meantime. What's pretty cool is that Unicorn and Kirin also boost Raines' damage so I'm getting a little faster with each victory (assuming I don't get Mist Dragon)

Tried living flame Magicite dungeon using a normal team. He eventually attritioned me dead after like 1m30s.

I think it's doable with slightly changing up the strategy, maybe even under a minute. 30s runs are a ways out, though.

You can't recruit her yet. I think she'll eventually be recruitable. She's part of the Record Keeper story (such as it is).

Living flame you can attrition out by keeping him in the right form. I want to say its tornado form that basically cant kill you if you have several healers. You just load up a radiant shield and reflect him to death

Tornado form won't work for that, it only does one Ultimate Firaga per shift and all the rest is self-healing. I think human form would be the choice for stalling - it's got no magic so you don't need Shell, its big damage is gravity so Wall is not essential, and its status is inconvenient Sap instead of hand form's run-killing Paralyze.

Eh. I think I can just beat it the normal way without resorting to reflect silliness. I did get it down to like 20%. I just need a bit more hones or different ability choices. Maybe I can bring WARD since I got his shout clone from a 100 gem draw.

Just beat 300 Difficulty torment with Tidus Rikku Yuna Minwu Gordon. Very fun fight. Was one turn from death, Yuna with the dual cast Leviathan late was clutch. It's convenient Tidus Rikku and Yuna are 3 of my strongest so I was able to do the Cid Missions without changing my party much.

Did the Cid Mission on 200 too. Tidus Rikku Yuna Seymour Auron there.

FFX is probably the only realm I can do this with since I have so much gear there but it's fun while I can. Maybe FF2 I also can but yeah.

You shouldn't be concerned about sub 30ing Magicite at the moment, people were preparing for those fights months in advance before they were even out. You should just focus on beating the ones you have the best elements for and then farm magicite so they can help with the boss that's weak against the element you conquered. And you'll want to beat Fenrir to get an Enkidu which is really useful in general. If you plan on Sub 30ing them you should probably whale for Onion Knight's USBs since he's one of the best for speedrunning teams.

Ultimates mastered, nice and quick with a native Cloud USB.

Palmer is well, Palmer. He didn't last very long, I used Cid Highwind's version of Shout, Cloud's USB, RW chant and killed all 4 of them in a tornado strike (Probably due the wind synergy boost on Zack Chain sword.)

Materia Keeper also went down quick even in a Cid Mission, Cloud did the damage, Rufus and Aerith healed, Cid used his shout, Red did the breaks. RW'd chant again. I barely saw MK attack, just Ultimate Hell Combo a few times and it's a reduce to 1 HP attack, no aoes.

Diamond Weapon was kinda tough, but that's because I forgot lifesiphon on Cloud. I swapped Red, Rufus and Cid for Tyro, Ramza and Vaan. He hits pretty hard but nothing too bad, his flash shells hurt a lot, until I used Vaan's BSB on him then he got neutered. RW Shout and had Ramza use chant when Cloud got the meter for his USB, and then I tore DW apart with thundering Twinstrikes.

so uh, i just did Shelke jump start with Noel SSB of all things seeming to be my best possible DPS in jumpstart omni-resist situations. Cloud USB RW, then he can instant SSB into 2x instant full charge and repeat. actually this seems like about as good of DPS as having a fully dived Cloud use the USB himself and spam omega drive (if they had the same atk, at least). though not nearly as sustainable of course.

then did the 250 and 300 versions of Geosgaeno. used Rikku, Ingus, Ramza, Larsa, Y'shtola for the 250, with Rikku BSB+Cloud USB as my damage, Ingus BSB for drawtaliate + magic breakdown, Ramza for shout+chant, Larsa for wrath+entrust and BSB, Y'shtola for wall and BSB. worked out surprisingly well. killed him on Rikku's 4th BSB cast.

for 300, i used a dark team. Kuja for imperil + water medals. Seph with BSB+SSB, Orlandu with just BSB, both using Cloud USB for a quick kill. it didn't work out quite as i had planned but i had enough leeway to still kill him decently fast (can't even get 3 SB casts under Cloud USB with Seph, so my last SB use ended up being his OSB, and accidentally didn't powerchain one of them with Orlandu so couldn't get his third under Cloud USB effects either). i guess if i do something like that from now on, i'll use Seph BSB first and then SSB x2 after the Cloud USB.

wait you can stop that? i didn't even know.

i had kind of a long fight myself. used Kain w/ OSB as my main dps, 2 healers, 2 support (Vaan is decent dps himself) and Relm USB as RW. did a some lifesiphons, 5 lightning dives, then 3x OSB.

i haven't done the jumpstart version yet because no stamina. not really sure how to get through that quickly. probably Cloud USB RW with Fran's imperil lightning SSB and Kain OSB.

Dr Mog even told you if you did enough damage to him he'd stop hitting you with the attack and start charging again.

Jumpstart version was actually easier for me since I was able to get him to stop twice in a row since Rikku's relkatively poor meter building didn't matter-- dropping one more Machinations makes a big difference!

Well that and my dudes with Dr Mog's Teachings/Mako Might having better RM on em.

Tidus banner coming next week is a good one if you need water. I'm definitely planning to draw on that one. Tactics one right after that is solid, but there's a better Tactics banner with a lot of the same stuff + TG Cid coming in 3 months or so.

I quite enjoy this Crystal Tower concept. Needing to balance out hastegas, boostgas, and medicas was definitely interesting.

Beat Adel with Cloud, Vaan, Tyro, Quistis and Relm. I actually used Tyro's OSB for the 15% boost to all stats, if you can believe that. Quistis's SSB also found its way off the bench to give shell and haste.

Beat Squall with Sephiroth, Bartz, Ramza, Raines, and Y'shtola. Y'shtola got killed by blasting zone but it was near the end. Basically melted Squall during his last 50%, only saw blasting zone and ultimate ultima once each.

Still got Scylla and Adamantoise to go but my planned parties are as followed:

- Scylla: Luneth, Celes, Onion Knight, Fujin, Rosa
- Adamantoise: Orlandu, Lightning, Prompto, Shantotto, Yuna

whew, just totally finished Nova Dragon. 3 pretty different teams, too.

200 CM was the easiest one for me so far, with divine guardian, Quina's +50% atk, Eiko burst, Beatrix magic blink, and Zidane OSB. Zidane did about 80% of its health by himself and wall RW reduced its damage to practically nothing.

250 wasn't too bad either. Zack imperil wind, Luneth wind BSB, both using Cloud USB. Ramza, Larsa, Y'shtola as usual for the other 3 spots.

300 i used my exact same dark team as geosgaeno. Seph & Orlandu both using Cloud USB, Ramza, Kuja, Y'shtola. then i figured, since Kuja's already my imperil dark, i'll try the 3CM. took a few failed attempts with Garnet to figure it out, but Quina and Eiko replacing Ramza and Y'shtola just barely worked.

I have like 2 FFIX items so I'm probably not even gonna try to do the Nightmare Dungeon for it. I guess we'll see though.

i didn't even use synergy items on my DPS characters, using off-realm dark boost and KO resist accessories. you should at least be able to do non-CM stuff.

it's not weak to dark, i used imperil. the 200 is 50% weak to wind, the 250 is 20% weak to wind, the 300 isn't weak to anything. all null earth, other elements neutral.

Beat the 200 Torment for FFIX. Wasn't actually too tough surprisingly, though I didn't have the audacity to go full FFIX because yeah my FFIX is bad. Used Balthier Vivi Zidane Minwu Gordon. Balthier's basically just there to Imperil Fire. Zidane I actually have his stupid burst so may as well use him even though I hate him.

I guess my Vivi is particularly mighty in FFIX with his OSB Fire Boost Staff and his FFIX Fire Boost Hat.

Might be able to manage the 300 with this party as well to nab 2 Cid's Missions in the process. Hopefully!

Beat 250 as well-- swapped Zidane for Yuna to boost Vivi's magic more.

Thinking damage might be a problem with the 300 since I really started running out of gas but I guess we'll see. Jump start made the last torment dungeon I did actually easier so yeah. Course bringing Zidane kinda sucks but I want the extra 10 5* motes
