If you think we should take in Muslim refugees you should look at what has become of Sweden. They are currently the rape capital of the western world and there are now zones where white Swedes will no longer go because of the extreme violence against them in those Muslim areas.

I would really like to know more about Haitians. It seems they in particular get the stink eye from Trump akin to his feelings toward Mexicans. What are the Haitian communities in America like?

And it's entirely possible he was referring to North Africa. The report did say they were talking about "Haiti, El Salvador, and some African countries." It's possible those "some" were countries like Libya, Egypt, Algeria, etc. Which would be consistent, yes.

If they're contributing, assimilating, and coming here legally, then he probably isn't against them. It's not like every Haitian/African is the same, so that's why there should be vetting over which ones can immigrate.

If this is about that supposed "shithole" comment, then you're missing the point. He wasn't (allegedly) saying the people from those countries were bad, but that the countries' living conditions were terrible, which is why they wanted to leave and come here so bad.

Doesnt the immigration process cost thousands of dollars? How are hut dwellers affording that if theyre so impoverished?

Something needs to happen to stop American businesses from outsourcing labor to India and China where they work for pennies an hour. If it takes Trump's brutish not-give-a-fuckery to finally accomplish this then so be it.

I don't understand why people are still even talking about jobs when out unemployment rate is so low that the department of labor considers it to be full employment.

What we need to focus on is paying people more for those jobs, but Republicans would never go for that since they care far more about their corporate sponsors and donors than they do about working Americans or America in general.

They were deported after serving a year or more in prison. Committing crimes doesn't really count as contributing or assimilating, even if they are vets.
