No, he knows what he's doing and has done for years. If you hadn't just started posting here during 2016 (coincidentally during Trump's campaign for presidency),

Among other factual errors, I came back in early 2015. You should know that because I made topics about the primaries and because I was on Terris's ignore list. Otherwise, I've been here sporadically. Hell, I have a 2014 PM from AllstarSniper.

Don't be a Misinformation Mead or a False Foxx.

I wouldn't know that because for a few months at a time, I wouldn't post or log in. I just had...other things going on. I just know that in the time leading up to Trump's election, you came riding in on a red elephant and it just seemed odd.

Regardless, ICOYAR knows what he's doing. Between the creepy messages he sent various female PotDers, the incident with "Claudia Hymen", and various other shit he's said and done, he's well-aware of his mentality.

And really? "Misinformation Mead" and "False Foxx"? How old are you? 12? I thought name-calling would be something below your age..

lolwut? Again, don't be a Misinformation Mead. If you actually bothered to look back at the primary debate posts, you'd know that I supported Jim Webb among Democrats and wasn't overly fond of anybody on the Republican ticket although, out of them, Rand Paul was probably the closest (because, while I'm center-left, I have a strong libertarian streak). iirc, Kasich I only remarked as being reasonable. I did suggest giving Trump a chance and criticized the silly outrage over his early remarks. I frequently noted that I had no expectation of him winning, although I thought (quite rightly) that a Trump presidency would be interesting.

Honestly, I was inclined to take those accusations at face value *until* some random new poster who I'm not sure I even talked to once on the boards started making accusations about me PMing them and harassing them on Facebook. This same poster went on to make accusations against ICO. While I can't say that I know what ICO has or hasn't done -- I've heard about some of the incidents -- I certainly know what I haven't done and if somebody is inventing accusations against me and then they turn around and accuse ICO, why would I believe those accusations are legitimate?

Adults don't outgrow a sense of humor, that's more the realm of adolescents trying to act adult. They might be playful monikers, but they're certainly apt ones.

Dude, get it through your skull. I wasn't paying attention to you or even cared what you had to say in 2016. I just remember seeing some dude named "Zeus" hanging around PotD. And cut the shit with this "Misinformation Mead" crap. You're not funny or witty for these stupid colloquialisms you've slapped on people like medals at a country fair.

So, just because someone accuses you of something, you're inclined to not believe anything they have to say? Like Trump does with the "Mainstream Media" and "Fake News" and all of his other bullshit that he keeps squawking on about like a parrot.

2015. And if you weren't paying attention -- despite claiming to the contrary with your assertions -- why would you make a statement at all? Doubly so since you were just riding your high horse while complaining that you have to know every bit of ICO's backstory before you can make any assessment.

WastelandCowboy posted...

If you were accused of something that was outright false and then saw that same person accuse somebody else, what conclusion would you draw? Not a rhetorical question. How does your thought process work in that scenario?

And my respect for you just dwindled a bit. Mead's only real expertise is trolling (although he's a master at his little manipulative games) and Foxx is as bad as Erik when it comes to a persistent, irrational need to believe anything negative about Trump and spin any news the same.

Don't get me wrong, regardless of your feelings for me, I like you. I often disagree with you, but I like you. And I have a reasonable level of respect for you. And, generally speaking, I never had a problem with Foxx until she decided to out-Erik Erik -- after all, in that vacuum somebody had to shitpost nonstop about Trump. I'm not completely sure why she does that -- although it seems to be suspiciously motivated -- but, regardless of those motivations, I've never thought too badly of her. Mead, on the other hand, I have absolutely no respect for. Whatever disdain or contempt you seem to feel for ICO, I feel the same way about Mead. I had more respect for Erik than Mead and I had virtually no respect for Erik.

I never once claimed that I "know every bit of ICOYAR's backstory". I just said he's a piece of shit.

My thought process works in the sense that I don't disregard a person's opinions just because I don't agree and/or know one or more of their opinions aren't true.

Now, I do see that this paints me a hypocrite as I've done the same for Duckbear, ICOYAR, Trump, etc. I've disregarded their opinions and ignore them because I don't give a shit what they have to say.

You can keep your "respect" for me. I don't want it. I don't give a shit what you think of me.

And you're wrong. That vacuum was filled by Duckbear - not Foxx. Unlike you, she doesn't talk shit about other people behind their back.

That's still apples to oranges, though. I'm specifically talking about if an individual lies about a specific issue in regards to one whether you would trust them when they're making that exact same claim against somebody else. Because most people would be far less likely to believe it. It's a bit different about lying about one thing then alleging a claim of a completely different sort although, admittedly, if somebody fabricates things on a consistent basis, it does raise questions about their overall trustworthiness.

WastelandCowboy posted...

Like I said, I don't begrudge you how you may feel about me. Because, unlike a good many people here and elsewhere, my like or dislike for individuals isn't based on a narcissistic reciprocation or, for that matter, shared ideology.

lolwut? First, this isn't talking behind her back. Second, if you're going to claim that she doesn't badmouth me in the third-person, you're either inactive or being purposefully oblivious. More importantly, nothing that I've said here isn't anything I haven't already said directly to her. (Besides, perhaps, the news that I hold her in some esteem; however, I'm sure she'd publicly demur any such praise from me.)

What surprised me was the number of 1-digit millionaires that suffered the same fate. That kind of win is not life-changing. Heck, many cities in US/Canada have an AVERAGE housing price of $1 million, meaning you could literally buy a new house (not a mansion), and that's it.

That's right, cheaper than most new cars now.

I'm sure they could have bought a spacious downtown loft in a major city for less than $100K as well. Today you'd be lucky to rent a closet for that price.

Yeah, anybody who hears "winning the lottery!" thinks of some massive windfall but most guys who win a good chunk of money don't win enough to really live the high life. My dad met one lotto winner who just took his winnings and retired a little earlier. Apparently he still drinks at the same bar, has the same hobbies, etc.

Although tbh that's really all I would need to be happy. I don't have some lucrative pension/401K, so to be able to throw it all into a retirement plan and stop working even a couple years early AND live a comfortable retirement... buying the latest game consoles & games whenever I want... that's living the dream.

And it's small enough of a win that the leeches won't even bother coming after me.

Yeah, if I had that kind of a modest windfall, I also imagine I'd only use a small portion of it then just invest the rest. The idea of using it all up just feels depressing. There's really not much that I need anyway.
