I confess I was only thinking as far as the fact that special tea, cute gadgets and mooncakes will be priced out of my range and that there will be fewer retail jobs because higher prices and fewer sales. I stumbled across this analysis that high tech items from China are on the average composed of 2/3's foreign parts so when Chinese production of high tech item drops, the purchase of parts drop and ... I think this means that if your employer sells to China your job may be collateral damage.

I think the hissy fit trump threw as well as the resulting tariffs will have a disastrous effect on the US. As soon as it was announced, I know that there were grumbles in the Australian export sectors that raw material exports may slow down to the US because of them.

Trump does anything = its bad, disastrous, etc

Obama does anything = its great, genius, etc.

Learn the narrative.

Probably. Much of what our government does is generally bad for the middle and lower class, its by no means unique to the Trump administration

I think that Putin ordered Trump to do this, so it would weaken America's economy to the point that they would no longer be able to enforce the sanctions on Russia, and relax them.
