I don't. There were be SO many liberals, moderates and renegade right-wingers that will have been upset by his first-term, that they were turn the election, and win against the staunch right-wingers by a small margin.

Of course, Grover Cleveland had two non-consecutive terms.

Most of them already live in areas that probably voted against Trump in the last election though.

Trump is gonna have to really fuck up in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to lose I think.

Which probably wouldn't be too hard because I think he barely won those states anyways.

Not at this rate.

Funny anecdote - I ran into a white South African woman at work yesterday. We started talking and I learned she moved to the US before Trump out of fear for her safety - there's a lot of racist sentiment left over in South Africa from the Apartheid area.

Now she's moving back because she'd rather deal with that than live under Trump. That's saying something about how he appears to the rest of the world.

A lot of elections are decided in the week or two before the election

Whether or not trump wins all depends on what 2020's october surprise will be. In 2016 it was comey's letter that caused a dramatic and immediate shift towards trump in the polls just days before the election

In 2008 it was the financial crisis that broke out

In 2004 it was the Bin Laden tape

This is why Trump will win a second term. Democrats have nobody who will run against him.

Also, while the city liberals are outspoken about Trump, there is still a big silent majority that people seem to be forgetting about. Most Americans want jobs and lower taxes, and Trump has done those things.

I think he definitely could. But it could go either way.

A cursory Google search shows voter turnout for Trump wasnt much higher than Romney, and that turnout for democrats was lower than normal. Even if nothing on Trump's end changed, I imagine that democrats will be more motivated to vote next election, which could easily push him out.

But who knows. Democrats fucked up against the most beatable candidate in recent history one time, they might do it again.

If the democrats rally behind another "Hillaryesque" figure, it would give him an immense push to another term at least. So if they've learnt their lesson, it should be in the bag. But they managed to fuck up against Trump initially, so who knows at this point tbh.

Y'know, it's kind of ironic that democrats will get slapped with the "progressive" label, but are about as resistant to change as the GOP.

The biggest sticking point of 2016 was discontent with the status quo. Even if they were dead-set against Bernie, it seems bone-headedly obvious to pick any candidate except Hillary.

Trump might work in their favor then, because going back to the status quo might be the thing people want now lol.

Wait! The DNC has been playing 3D Duck duck goose! They let trump win to turn voters off from the idea of political revolution and secure the next election! Hillary could win in 2020!

While the democratic party does do some focus on the Dregs of the left they actually don't focus on the dregs as much as the modern GOP does. The reason they are in power is because they let the dregs of the right take over.

Democrats are too lazy and inept to actually put up a good fight

All this "blue wave" talk is garbage and wishful thinking unless they get off their asses and actually DO SOMETHING. Say what you will about the GOP they know how to motivate their base, even if the guy in charge is universally despised.
