Unless you're terribly unlucky, 7'5 has far form life opportunities and career options.

I think you die sooner-ish due to complications, but you should technically live a better quality life before that kicks in.
And if you do really well, the medical stuff should be easily payed for, giving you an edge anyway.

Hate to say it but 5'5". If I were 7'5", I would never be able to live a normal life. I'd have bad knee and back problems, literally wouldn't fit anywhere and die of a heart attack at 55.

This, pretty much. There isn't enough of an upside to being that tall to offset the fact that you'll statistically die a lot younger and will live the back half of your live in some serious pain. Maybe if you were good at basketball, but you can make more money in your lifetime. You can't earn more years in your life.

Yeah. While 55 is quite small for a man, its not freakishly short by any means, so Id have to go with that. If the shorter option had been more like 5 even, it would have been much harder to choose that.

Yes, and the fact that you don't fit anywhere. Have fun finding a car with enough leg room, a seat on the train/plane.

Definitely 5'5.
I'm 5'10, and wouldn't be a foot and a half taller than I already am. 5 inches shorter.. heh I could deal with it. At least I could find clothes that fit me easily without having to go to specialized stores or to special order it online and pay twice as much. (and I could fit into my car and bus/airplane seats)

But the important question. Would my dick remain the same size, or would it be proportionally shorter/longer depending on the choice?

Pretty much. 5'5 is p short, but it's only like 3-6 inches shorter than most avgs across the world. Whereas 7'5 is pretty much a foot and a half taller than any nations avg height.

A better question would be 5'5 v 6'3 or 4'3 vs 7'5.

You need me to provide evidence that 7'5" leads to health complications?

Come on dog

Health issues =/= death sentence

Again. If you become a rich bb player, you'll easily get the care you need.

You should 100% take advantage of your height.

???

What is this? You lose maybe 5 years on average? Apparently, the leading cause of NBA death is still car accidents lmao.

Yeah. I'll easily give up +/-5 years to live at multi-millionaire for the rest of my life.
Let's say I made it into the NBA at 21. That's like 10 years of playing on average. Retire at 30-40.

+/-45 years of a fantastic easy life versus whatever foggy mess is my future right now.

Things that will forever be annoying. Dancing and driving.

I thought a manlet was more about compensating behavior, and less about actual hight? Like, if a guy was 5'5, but worked out 24/7, had tribal tats, drove a massive truck with truck nuts, and owned a Harley that he could barely fit on, he'd be considered a manlet. Where as just a dude being 5'5, but otherwise normal, would not be.

Bah, the usage of words these days is so difficulty to keep up with.

Maybe people would choose 5'5" because they don't want to die at the age of 46

Later in that SI piece, an NBA scout says that hell check up on anyone over 7 feet thats breathing. So while theres no guarantee of stardom, its a pretty sure thing that any 7-footer will at least get a shot at the NBA.

That there was hyperbole

But it's common knowledge that taller heights tend to have lower life expectancies

From your article.

1. Keep perspective. Height studies tend to be small. Its difficult to get a large group of people who are 610 together to study these things, says Michael A. Rosenberg, M.D., of the Harvard Medical School. For every Dawkins and Malone and Wilt, theres a 6-foot-9 Bill Russell, whos 81 now.

2. Be skeptical. For every study that connects height and early death, you can find one that concludes the opposite. A 2014 study, for example, found that taller people have a 20 to 25 percent lower risk of sudden cardiac death, the disorder that too often takes youth athletes out.

We wouldn't even be having this extended conversation if you had just stuck with taller people = more health problems on average. I didn't even disagree with that point.

But you ended up exaggerating multiples times, and then backtracked to defend yourself.
