Idk. I mean, it's R but in a tame way, like an extreme marvel movie.
I'd say whenever your comfortable with most pg 13 movies, this will be fine. He may run around and fight things for a while :)

I am pretty sure the age rating of those is 12, younger should be acceptable depending on the child and parental presence.

If I had a son, I'd make sure he saw The matrix, Mad Max (original 3), Bill and Teds excellent adventuers and the original Poltergiest before he started elementary school.

Kids would be crying when dropped off for first day of Kindergarten, but my son would be stabbing the stuffed clown to make sure it didn't attack em during recess.
