The playing field is not equal. Women don't have to try as hard to stand out, because unless a dude is on there looking like Ryan Gosling, they're probably not going to get even a fraction of the messages that women get.

It's kinda why Tinder generally isn't worth the time and effort. If you're going to use it, use it on the side while also trying to meet people in person. Don't focus all your attention on online dating because it's going to hurt your self-esteem if you don't get the results that you want.
