People have been theorizing that a RDR remaster is going to be done through RDR2 engine in the form of DLC since they discovered that Mexico has some decent work done on it for being an unexplorable area.

I don't believe it myself, as it would have made the Xbox One X 4K BC work done for RDR kind of pointless but who knows

It makes sense. Literally everything from the first game except Mexico is there. Import the voice acting and you are about 3/4s of the way to a remaster.

You do realize Jack could end up as a quest giver for online right? Just as a number of playable and NPC from single player GTAV also end up as quest/heist givers.
Not to mention Rockstar canceled all planned GTAV single player DLC because of how much idiots gave them for online and how much easier it was to make a new car and sell it for like $5 instead of one and done DLC.

1. The voice files found were specifically player voice files responding to NPC's
2. Online takes place BEFORE RDR2. When Jack is like 5 years old.

That wouldn't work since people who are dead by the time RDR2 ends are alive during RD Online.

Then that would mean several online Stranger missions like Flaco Hernandez would be out of place as they die during the events of RDR2.

it would be annoying though cuz rdr2 gameplay takes steps backwards at times

for example you cant throw knives while crouching in the second one. cores are an interesting idea but ultimately annoying. hunting cougars and bears is more fun in 1 because they spawn more often and theyre more viscious. horses are faster in 1. etc
