The coal miner's of west virginia's working conditions were so bad they literally went to war with their employers. I am well aware of what working conditions were like in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and we're heading back to that slowly today. It's part of the reason labor unions were created to combat abuse by employers such as child labor, etc. Unions get a bad rep and some of it is indeed deserved but let's be honest, if not for unions, there would be no paid vacations, workplace safety rules, and regs, no benefits, etc so unions played a huge role in combating some of the wrongdoing. --- SpankageBros <cite>BUMPED2002 posted [p:927084681] in Is America...
