Buttigieg somehow has a poll showing him up 10 in New Hampshire which is just gross. Biden continues to lead nationally while Warren slips. And Trump leads all democrats in Wisconsin in the newest Marquette poll (except...Booker?).

There has been an undeniable clear trend towards Buttigieg in both Iowa and New Hampshire now. If Warren loses those two, she's done. I'm not sure she picks up a single state if she drops both of those.

i actually will attempt to find some common ground with red sox by saying that i have mixed feelings about hillary's "basket of deplorables" comments. speaking out against racism, sexism etc. is good. but in spite of hillary's "grossly generalistic" disclaimer, a lot of trump supporters are going to say "SHE SAID I'M DEPLORABLE WTF," as i'm sure she was aware. divisive comments like this are kind of weird when you're campaigning on a message of "love trumps hate."

what bothers me about red sox, though, is that he's never given trump - you know, the person who is actually president - as much grief for similar comments ("mexicans are rapists and criminals!") as he's given hillary. this hypocrisy bothers me way more than the fact that he's bashing hillary tbqh.

My less sarcastic guess is there is a large enough segment of college educated white voters that view Biden as too conservative but Warren as too liberal.

He looks to be taking most of his votes from Warren.

There is a large amount of old people who get their opinions from the TV news that waffle between whatever candidate the TV is pushing at the time because they are incredibly dumb, and just want to vote for whoever they see on TV a lot because that makes them think they can win or are serious candidates. That is the true reason we keep seeing a big chunk waffle between different people from Kamala to Biden to Warren to Pete. So the polls just don't really matter this far out at all, except the ones where people say they are not going to change their choice, or how excited they are. There are probably a lot of old people who, if you ask who they support on the phone, will be like "oh i kind of like that pete guy" because they keep seeing him on TV, but that doesn't mean they are dedicated Pete guys who will end up voting for him. Their brains are malleable clay.

Still walking home so Im not watching but I suspect thats true. In particular I would guess that more moderates would ticket split if Warren/Bernie were leading the ticket because they want more of a check on the president doing anything too radical, which would not be much of a concern with Biden.
