Yeah my job is so far away and don't got alot of gas money to make it home and back. But as long as i have my cell phone i'll be ight.

I've never had to, but I've done it anyway for the two cars I've had just because. One time each.

I don't even know why really. I thought about getting a Rav4 Prime next year and besides the usual car review videos, I've watched a couple videos of some dude sleeping in his Prime

Plenty of times. I actually enjoy it, but its always been a choice and never like forced.

There was one time when a friend had a bunch of people over. I left at like 2am when things were winding down, and as I got to my car, I realized I might not be as sober as I had thought I was. I didnt want to go back and potentially wake anyone up if theyd gone to bed, so rather than chance it by driving home, I just laid down in the back seat and set an alarm for like 6am.

Got drunk and slept in my backseat before.

Also did a road trip across the country and slept in my car most of the time at campsites.

I have. I dont know about had to. You should also specify that youre not talking about just sleeping while someone else is driving.

We were camping when I was a kid and my mom was convinced she heard something, so she made us all sleep in the car.

I lived in a van for most of a year while working for a delivery company. Most of their business was to auto factories, and was around the midwest.

Also did it on a couple of spontaneous road trips I took when I was younger.

I mean is the climate good? I hate sleeping in humidity which is the midsouth...

I've done it before out of necessity, like a work break but never an extended amount like a whole nights sleep, cuz you're not 'whole' after a night in the car. Go get yourself a decent dinner, charge the phone to 100% and then get something low-power rent to entertain yourself with like an audiobook. A few beers doesn't hurt, but you can't do much or you smell like it the day after.

I do feel for ya. Every dollar is a mile at this point, and time is still the most valuable resource any of us possess.

No. Ive thankfully never had to and I dont think it would work well for me. Im 6ft tall and I sometimes have to pull over to stretch every hour or two that I drive. I sat in my car for about an hour last week waiting for some Craigslist deal and I was so cramped. I have a Subaru Outback, which is pretty big for a car. When I sleep, I like to stretch out and not be all curled up.

If you ever do that, dont sit in the drivers seat. You can definitely get a DUI in some states for that.

I wouldn't say I "had to" but I have many times.

For years I used to take about a 45 min nap in my car during my lunch break every day. And I've slept over night a few times.

I remember an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond where that happened. Debra turns the car on for the radio, reclines the seat, and is napping while waiting for her husband to pick her up, but the cop still arrests her for operating a vehicle while drunk.
