People still fighting autotune don't realize they lost that war a decade ago lol. If you can't beat em, join em. Definitely some decent autotune using artists at this point. If you still can't get pass it, just makes you look out of touch at this point. You can still like Nas & Mos Def while liking rappers that autotune. Most them accepted they lost that battle awhile ago, why can't you?

The real difference is, you will probably be closed off to the next thing as well. Well, others will have the ability to accept something different from what they grew up with. What's the chances you like what's after autotune? Remember what was before it? Ringtone Rap? Those were some glory days lol. Autotune was an upgrade from the last fad.

As music streaming becomes omnipresent, so do videos of people just playing music--absolutely zero production. I think that's a cool trend.

And sure auto tune will never really go away forever. People still make new classical music after all, but fashions change and one day the highly sanitized pitch corrected pop music will drop out of style as well.

First Paragraph, fair enough. I do that.

Second paragraph, I assumed we were just talking what's popular, otherwise I don't get why this is even a conversation. Just listen to lesser known artists. I do both. It's why I don't feel it necessary to hate on a whole trend of music. There's always something for me out there as well. So, who cares what popular trends I don't like are doing.

Third, I was actually giving you the benefit of the doubt that it could go away completely. I was basically just making fun of you calling it a fad when it's been around for so long and having a prediction that it won't always be part of the most popular music. If that's the case, every sub genre of music is a fad and not a trend. Because that's just explaining how music has always worked, it's not really saying anything. When it leaves, there's no "See, I told you". Cause it's like predicting smart phones aren't always gonna be the phone standard. All history makes something eventually taking it's place the most obvious call you can make. Technology like music is always moving in new directions and always will.
