Fleck getting paid almost $35 mil to stay in Minnesota until 2028. The program has been better under him, but that is a lot of money and a lot of years for a prior I'm still not convinced is ever good enough to be a great one. Maybe he's the guy to do it though. Never hurts to have consistency. Better him than Tim Brewster...or whatever that guy's name was. Took Mason's players and then set fire to the program.

P.J. Fleck is insufferable. I took all of five seconds to hate him. I saw him in his canary yellow jacket leading the team out of the tunnel, having forced everyone else to wear the maroon. That way, he was the center of attention. Classic narcissist.

I was at the Kentucky game in what was effectively overflow vols section. That's all I'll say about it.

Though hey I'm moving on up in my fantasy league after beating a team called Rocky Top with a Tennessee helmet as the logo what do you think of that huh

Nebraska fired basically every coach except the head coach. Not sure why you're holding out on Frost at this point!

They also restructured his contract. The way I understand it is that it's heavily incentive based. So more wins equals more money type of thing. So if he keeps losing next year they don't have to do a massive payout, and can fire him.

I jokingly told my family is they are hanging on to him for one more year because no one wants to come to Nebraska any more because the program is a joke, so they don't have any replacements in mind.

MSU still at 7 is hilarious. They have been equally as unconvincing as Oklahoma but they're basically saying the Michigan win overrides their loss? Actually I see what they are doing. They are minimizing Cinci's routes in. OSU win out they are in. If MSU or Michigan beat OSU they leapfrog Cinci. Oklahoma (or Oklahoma State) also leapfrog Cinci if they win out I'd imagine.

So Cinci is going to need a ton of help despite being 5 as of right now. They basically need 3 out of these 4 scenarios to happen:

Alabama to lose to Georgia (or someone else) and it not be close
Oklahoma to lose (possibly OK State to lose too)
Oregon to lose
OSU/MSU/Michigan to all not win out

Georgia could lose a game and still deserve to be 1 right now. Hell, they could lose 2 depending on who to and still probably deserve to be top 4.

Alabama just needs to lose again, period. It doesn't have to be a blowout.

Don't put it past Auburn to upset them.

If Alabama lost to Georgia by like 3 points or something, I wouldn't put it past the committee to put them in anyway.

Also if anyone upsets Georgia in the SEC championship game, they may get in regardless of where they were previously. I think that only applies to A+M since they get in if Bama drop a game right?

I think Alabama would need a lot of other things to go right for them to still get in with two losses.

A&M wins the West with a Bama loss to Arkansas or Auburn as long as they win out. I think Auburn or Ole Miss could still get in, too, but they'd need some help. I don't think either of them get in just by beating UGA, but A&M probably does.

Also thinking about it, I'm surprised the committee isn't putting in Cincinnati this year. This would be the perfect 'We told you so' year to do it. Georgia likely crushes any team who is at 4 anyway so if they throw Cincinnati to them then it ends the G5 discussion for years to come.

Middle Tennessee is staying in Conference USA. That should keep them alive with at least eight members.

The problem is it's never been about shutting people up or proving them wrong. It's always been about the most money they can make that year.
