Made by the guys who did Pony Island and The Hex, it's uh.... just as wild as those games so far with a Card Game Slant. I feel a little dumb because I missed something obvious and spun my wheels for 2 or 3 hours or so before looking it up online and realizing I was missing something.

But its been awesome

I was thinking of trying it because I saw animal cards and stuff in the trailer but I get the feeling it has very little to do with them lol.

Might try it still but not sure yet.

I played the demo a while back and loved it. Going to wait a little though as I'm already playing through several things right now.

Got to Act 2. Yeah this game rules. I was having a lot of trouble progressing through the card game at first, but you can make some truly broken death cards.

I'm in Act 2. Not sure how I feel about it compared to the first act.

I thought Act 2 was the best act tbh. I really liked the combination of all 4 mechanics

Just beat it

I enjoyed it overall. The ending bits with the scrybes were really nice. I feel like the game was a little on the long side but not sure how I'd shorten it.

Also in terms of mechanics

Blood > Bones = Energy > Gems > Circuits

I thought energy was kind of lame, but I thought gems were really interesting. I was sad act 2 ended before I could put together a real gems deck given some of the gems rares required multiple gems or counted as multiple gems seemed really interesting to build around.

I actually grinded enough to put together a gem deck by fighting the training dummy a bunch.

Gems still sucked. They don't combine well with any of the other mechanics, and even if you make a dedicated gem deck you probably only want two out of the three colors.

I think only playing 2 of 3 colors makes it more interesting not less!

Eh, I don't think there were enough cards in each color to make it interesting.

Green/Orange seemed like the optimal choice since Blue just draws cards (which in most card games would be very good) but the limitation of four lanes makes it so you can't really do anything with those cards

If y'all want to farm foils quick in act 2, use the Energy Conduit/Stim Mage combo on the dummy.
Energy Conduit gives you literally infinite energy as long as it's part of a circuit. Stim Mage grows for 3 energy. Put a Stim Mage in a completed circuit and mash the "grow" button like a million times to give it over 100 power. Attack and get your foils.

Here's another infinite combo: Necromancer, Grave Robber, and Pile of Bones/Gourmage. It's a lot slower but you may be able to get the cards faster.

Play a skeleton and hit it with a hammer for 2 bones
Pay 1 bone to create a skeleton, now you have 1 bone
Play the skeleton
Hit the skeleton with a hammer, now you have 3 bones
Pay 2 bones to grow the PoB/Gourmage
Pay 1 bone to put a skeleton in your hand

Do this infinitely and your creature can get infinitely big.

Where's the Training Dummy in Act 2? I keep getting my ass kicked and have no idea what I'm supposed to do to make my deck better.

Where's the Training Dummy in Act 2? I keep getting my ass kicked and have no idea what I'm supposed to do to make my deck better. I chose the bone deck and I can't beat the bone boss or the trader.

You don't get access to it until after you beat one of the first two bosses-- it's in the wizard tower. I chose the wizard deck so can't really offer any advice, but was able to beat the beast boss without modifying my deck (and with some luck).

I'd suggest adding some of the beast/sacrifice cards that you get since I feel like those would compliment the deck pretty well. Also search everywhere you can for packs.

I think peoples enjoyment of Act 2 is directly proportional to how much they enjoy trading card games

I picked the gem deck, immediately realized it was garbage without upgrades, rebuilt it into a blood energy bones monstrosity and that was simple enough to win some games.

Act 2 ended up my favorite part of the game, but Ive played Magic seriously for a decade now

Inscryption is really more of a puzzle game than a card game. When you ring the bell you need to know what the position of the balance will be and what cards will be alive.

You're probably not blocking enough against the bone boss. Use the 0-power creatures to block. If you're not in a position where you can mash the bell to win, killing the opponent's creatures is almost always better than dealing damage to them.

Also, the hammer is busted, even outside of the context of infinite combos. Don't be afraid to swap out your creatures for better ones.

Play cards into the 4th lane so the blood hound jumps into there to keep her from playing the sarcophagus thingy. Once you've killed the 3/3 you've probably won.
