And his strange obsessions with Winnie the Pooh and Doraemon. He never talked about himself or had any real identity beyond "weird guy who posted articles. Anyone here can do that. For the first week or two after, you get tons of topics talking about them. It goes away eventually, though. And then maybe one every few months or so someone will go "Hey, I wonder what Erik is doing now" or the like, then a bunch of people will be nostalgic for about 5 minutes, and then everyone goes back to not remembering they exist again. The thing with Duckbear is that he was an incredibly prolific spammer, so you kind of get used to the idea of him being a major part of the board (unless you were smart enough to throw him on ignore).
