I played C&C (1) soon after finishing WC2 (both came out around the same time I think) - and while the gameplay in WC2 was more streamlined, the plot of C&C was much more unique/engaging. I had to force myself to play C&C 4, the gameplay change was so offputting - the plot ending was okay but I had really expected better after C&C3. <cite>Ruvan22 posted [p:967798176] in Command &a... And you dont need to play Red Alert 1 to play Red Alert 2. Red Alert 1 is a What if Hitler was killed before he rose to power? scenario, where you can either control the western allies or the Soviets in the new reimagined World War 2.
