Nintendo. Every time. Legit wasn't feeling like the magic was there for gaming anymore and they bring it back

I never had any doubts for a second about this game though. Knew they were holding back everything for a reason and didn't spend 6 years making BotW 2

Huh never heard this before but it works!

It looks like both Demise early on and Ganondorf later on in the trailer. Maybe they dive into Demise's curse and stuff here? Lots of cool possibilities

Yeah the three games are unified by the same director, Mr Fujibayashi, and the belief is that theyre a trilogy about Demise, Hylia, and her Chosen Knight.

The other Zelda games happened sometime in between SS and BotW, as BotW Impa alludes to, but their order or timeline placement isnt important to this story; just those 3 games really are.

Seriously. They had me skeptical and then THIS mic drop. Legendary fucking trailer - rivals the big two from BotW.

The one moment that stood out most for me was Link "gravity" jumping between small platforms. I've never seen him that fluidly animated.

Yeah, the second one, which also dropped about a month before launch. I'd still say the E3 2016 BotW trailer is the best in history.

that being said though absolutely a great trailer, hard to make judgments entirely on a trailer BUT the plot does look fuller than what BotW brought

it is still though very annoying Zelda's back in damsel mode again. game starts with the characters reunited together, the absolute perfect opportunity.... that's just noped

Based on this trailer, I think Zelda will be the last companion you have access to, not fully playable. Well, its better than nearly every other game in the series!

I think a lot of concerns about this games marketing are due to the huge gap between the reveal trailer at E3 2019 and the first gameplay trailer at E3 2021, which was then followed by a sizeable gap until the September 2022 Direct. After they revealed the title and release date there its been a reasonable flow of footage and information. I think people were expecting something meatier in those second and third showings because of the long gaps.

Best trailer for this game yet for sure, though I'm still let down by the map and Zelda being reduced to damsel again. I thought they might be about to transition to her being playable but she just says 'ohhhh link' at 3 separate points in this one trailer.

Like this specific Zelda is so combat incapable she didnt get to be in Smash Ultimate! We have better options for women playable characters in this setting!

Why are people saying playable champions? I thought it looked incredibly clear that they'll just be NPC fighting alongside Link in a few fights. Each champion having their own dungeon of sorts where they help Link out for a portion of that dungeon.

Yeah, that was my only complaint with the trailer.

Like dammit the way BOTW ended was the perfect setup for her being a constant travel companion or at least not "oh no lost/captured again"

Otherwise very cool.
