It's complete and absolute bullshit. Like actual evidence and studying shows that this behavior makes it harder for fat people to improve their health. All the people described in the OP actually want is to have a group they can demean and make fun of, the idea that it's helpful behavior is only a justification for their awful behavior.

Much of the most horrific abuse humans have inflicted on other groups involved a mix of hatred and convincing themselves that the horrible treatment was somehow meant to benefit the victim.

I've spoke about similar things like this over the years. Majority of people were okay with whatever people used to be motivated even if it comes from a place of toxic shit.

Jokes aside, I do not think we should bully or celebrate fat people. But the bottom line is that it is unhealthy. A small percentage of fatties, its just the way they are like a person being tall or short. But there are soooooo many lazy fatties that got consumed by "body positivity". Like no, go for a walk and work your way down to a half a pizza at a time lard tits. I think lazinees is what needs to be highlighted but a lot of lazy people are fat and the fat is visceral.

No because it isn't the true motivation. Regardless of what is consciously thought and felt and said the main motivator is schadenfreude. When someone gets skinny you feel powerful by forcing them to change their experiences. If they continue to fail you get a punching bag for a while. Regardless, either scenario is about the person inflicting pain for self motivators and not an attempt to influence their surroundings - that is a bonus.

But I do get enjoyment out of fat people falling youtube videos. Why is it funny as fuck when someone fat falls?

I don't even feel bad about it because they have plenty of padding to not get severely injured.

I know there's a degree of facetiousness to this post, but the additional weight is more of a detriment because that increases the overall energy potential of the fall which is then evenly distributed including to the organs - which have already been fairly stressed for a considerable amount of time already.
