Turn it into a joke While I agree on the whole "** him" front, his character in That 70s show was very much a burnout who was actually trying to not be the same -up that's hes been around forever. And a big reason Hyde didn't (as of the end of That 70s Show) was Red and Kitty, really the only two significant characters from the original series still around. it wouldn't be super in-character for them to be making jokes about how Hyde is a *-up. Though it could be cool if they want to get really dramatic, where they could acknowledge Hyde did something horrible, and why* none of the parents really want to actually address the topic.
