Announce or reveal something of substance? Pretty sure we all already know it's coming out, and GTA7 and 8 too for that matter

I feel like some kind of alien on this because I thought GTA5 was incredibly boring. Honestly not sure how people go so crazy about it when it has so many missions that are just commuting across Southern California with nothing interesting happening. I do that every day for work, I don't need to do it in my video games!

I'm an east coaster so it was legitimately an interesting fantasy setting for me to explore. Years later I visited LA and actually recognized some parts and that was really cool. But 4 was very boring to me since I am much more familiar with NYC.

Also San Andreas was much more of a mindblowing California, but that was probably because GTA was the only open world at the time. 5 had to compete with Just Cause 2 and such so it was less impressive.

Several generations have GTAV as their "Childhood game"
It just comes down to which update that their rose tinted glasses see as nostalgia.

The script is pretty enjoyable and they usually make the talking about 80% as long as the time it takes to reach the destination so it isn't boring
But if you don't care about this then yeah, driving from point A to point B is usually boring

I played and finished 5 before they even launched the online for it. Never really saw the appeal in it tbh. The game was better than 4 but i really didn't like the "lol you get no money again" thing for most of the game. Also in games like these the radio needs to have at least 1 good station otherwise i lose interest really quickly. As mentioned a lot of it is driving around and if the radio sucks it turns you off the game.

I didn't really like GTA V too much when I first played it, but I admit it grew on me a lot as the decade went on. And then watching DarkViperAU like supercharged that and I became really interested in all the various aspects about it. It's not like the best game, but it was sure a hell of a world to experience.

Huh. I live in LA, and I found it really great to recognize so many places represented in Los Santos. Not even just major landmarks like Hollywood or the Santa Monica Pier, but even like minor streets and neighborhoods were really well done and triggered "hey, I KNOW where that is!" in my brain.

I love GTA, I will be glad to play a new one.

Sometimes, a little car convo and driving on your way to shoot guys can be a nice way to spend some time. When GTA Online 2 comes out, I hope they don't put any cell phone shit in it, I just wanted to run around with friends, not have my phone constantly ringing for useless calls to do boring side activities.

I think GTA V came out at the perfect time for me, I was in college and had gotten into an on campus apartment. 2 out of 3 of my apartment mates and I loved playing it, not even all for the online. We just enjoyed watching each other play through the single player and just doing whatever. I had a bunch of fun playing through both the single player and then Online mostly for the racing.

I don't really expect VI to hit the same way, through no fault of its own really I just am not in college anymore and have way more going on. But I'll still probably try to check it out.

I liked GTA V, but with a few caveats. I remember wondering how it would remain on top given how many open world games there are now, and I remember feeling like it had some pretty astonishing attention to detail. Loads of little things about that sandbox that I thought were very impressive.

One thing i do hope they fix in 6 is having more than one big city area. The problem with 5 is they gave you this amazing city and then the rest of the map was filled with pretty much nothing in comparison.

I was disappointed at first that GTAV didn't have more cities like in GTA San Andreas, but in retrospect I'd much rather have one large city than three smaller cities.

Replaying GTASA made me realize just how tiny it feels these days.
