This why weed should not be legal. The stuff people smoke today is not the stuff the hippies smoked in the 60s. There is a link between marijuana use and violent crime as this study shows. And the lobbyists for marijuana try to hide these studies. Much like how tobacco lobbyists fought to hide the negative effects of cigarettes.
One question I asked that no one wants to answer is how can a drug that causes paranoia and anxiety be used to treat anxiety?

So why hasn't Canada seen a sharp increase in violent crime after legalization?

Edit: also should note, a fairly common side effect of anti-anxiety drugs is them causing anxiety. Of course I'm sure you already knew that because you put ever so much stock in studies, yeah?

not every individual is the same. it "can cause paranoia and anxiety".

curious, are you intentionally arguing in bad faith, or do you actually not understand the difference?

Idk about the violence part but I know the issue with legalization of cannabis is people have no idea what works for them. What dose, which strain, and how much is a big question and issue with people. Some of these dispensaries hire people off the street too who dont know what theyre doing lol.

I cant go anywhere without smelling weed in public from someone. I went to an empty Petsmart last night and the doorway stank of bad weed. I go to work and theres always someone you can smell it on. People abuse it too much. Im all for it being legal, but keep that shit at home and do your research on it before you smoke or digest it.

I dont know what part of that makes legalization of it an issue. Cigarette smoke lingers on peoples clothes just as bad.

The part that makes it an issue is smoking before you go somewhere or doing it in your car. Knowing the effects it has on people is the problem and they should be doing it responsibly at home. Cigarettes and weed are not the same lol.

This is getting off subject though and I call BS on it making people violent overall. I was giving me two cents on weed in general, but it seems people are still too excited about it being legal and not thinking about the questionable parts.

i do that because most people don't want to ban alcohol. if TC would support banning alcohol as well, that would show consistency in his argument.

and in the rare case that someone says "Yes, ban both" my response is "lol".
