Yeah, and people still voted for her. There's also the fact that different people age differently. Someone who aged well and stayed sharp like Christopher Lee could easily be a competent politician in his late 80s into his early 90s.

But it should be 65 IMO. And for Canada, too. Allow them to remain as a senator or high-powered person, set THAT age limit at 65. But no president should be fucking 83 years old.

There can be political reasons for wanting a term limit, for example Ruth Ginsberg and her passing away during a Republican presidents term instead of retiring under Obama. I just don't think there's a good principled reason for wanting a max age limit.

Legislative term limits are one of those things that makes you feel good when you talk about it, but they're really not good when you game it out

Minimum is 35, so double that to 70 sounds about right.
