Isn't Cyclops being a douchebag a relatively recent development? He used to be a boy scout-type leader.

From what I remember of the other animated series, the reason he became an asshole was because his life was falling apart. Jean either died or left him, and he failed to save a bunch of his friends from getting killed.

In the 90s animated series he was a douchebag that made dumb decisions that got people hurt, captured or killed oh and got shitty at Wolverine for mourning Jeans death in the Phoenix Saga.

Cyclops has never been a "douchebag." That's something edgy teens think because he's a foil for Wolverine, who is the "cool" one to them.

Storm's Mohawk is something that I go back and forth on.

On one hand, it's a unique look. On the other hand, it's unsexy. Since she out-boobs Rogue in this version, she's tasked with carrying the load of what it is to be a sexy X-Woman and I'm just not feeling that haircut.

Another example is making out with Jean right outside Wolverines door making sure he could see.

It's funny because there was a time people hated Cyclops because he WAS such a boy scout but then things happened to Jean and House of M happened and then Avengers Vs XMen happened which caused Cyclops to have a giant character development so now they hate Cyclops for being a dickhead LMAO.

I hope this continuation gives the other X-Men more screen time. The original mostly focused on Wolverine and Cyclops. Later seasons were actually nice enough to give us more of Xavier and Storm.

Looks interesting enough. I can't help but feel skeptical of these reboots, but I'll certainly give it a chance.

Tbf, you also have to remember that not everyone here was a fan of the original series. With no nostalgia behind it, I could see people being unimpressed.

Nah the animation here is bad, very similar to the last season of the show. Still gonna watch, cuz stories might good, but this looks like a 2010 webseries.

It started as something Xavier would say and the importance of Cyclops saying it here is that he's inherited the responsibility now Xavier is gone.

"To me, my X-Men" is basically the X-Men version of "Avengers assemble".

This show doesn't even look like modern animation.

Also plenty of modern Anime looks terrible, mainly the ones that are using CG animation with a crappy filter to make them look 2-D. And many traditional modern anime feel more like slideshows then actual animation.

I don't see Disney doing the darker revival thing. So I doubt there will suddenly be blood and violent deaths. Worst the 90s series had was the foot of a dead person in the Mr. Sinister origin episode.
