OK. All the BS in this thread aside, from the protestors point of view, what does getting in her face accomplish?

Do they have a list of people that have and haven't called it genocide, and just cross people's names off as they publicly call it genocide?

The thing is, AOC has already called it a mass killing of civilians and has publicly stated her support for a ceasefire. So I'm not really sure what they get from having her specifically say it.

Speaking of lists, some protesters have been creating one made to specifically boycott or condemn celebrities. The problem with them though is that innocent people or pro-Palestinian supporters who aren't vocal about their stance tend to get caught in the crossfires.

AOC has consistently called for a ceasefire, consistently called out AIPAC, and consistently called out Israel's actions. She's not just 'generally good' on this, she's good on it. Moving the goal posts is doing any good for anyone. How do we get politicians to call for a ceasefire, when we show that it's not enough? Too many leftists do not understand politics. I say this as a leftist myself. But too many of us really don't get it.

And you sometimes have to compromise to form coalitions. That's how politics works.

I generally agree with this, but I think calling a genocide a genocide and doing what you can to actively block its facilitation is a fair expectation to be considered good in the current circumstances.
