Not to mention that Game of Thrones only became an important franchise because of the TV show. So they destroyed it after bringing up. For instance, how do you ~~give the exposition of the Sophon's 11 dimensional proton sized quantum super computer to a TV audience?~~ I'm probably hyperbolizing, but it felt like 30 pages worth of dialogue beating you over the head with computer science and theoretical quantum physics.
