Is it that good? Honestly I'm a little worried restarting my Disney plus account because of how much they are charging a month. 20 a month is a bit too much for me.
It is very good. Surprisingly good. I think even after the viewers raised their expectations and are still being blown away speaks for itself.

Though it is still just 1 show with a weekly release. Hard to say how much value that would have for you, especially when it's just airing 1 episode per week. Though, I do believe you'd very much enjoy it if you're even just a slight fan of the old series or X-Men in general.

I don't read the comic, so I don't know what you're talking about.

For the past few years, the lot of the world's mutants got their own island nation (again...), this time on the living island itself, Krakoa. Yes, the thing that was formerly an antagonist.
Oh, and due to combination of mutants powers and the island itself, made (almost) everyone virtually immortal. Can't be killed permanently cuz said mutants would resurrect on the island.
Even revived a lot of other past mutant characters who died through the years.

Yeah, for a whole minute all of mutantkind in the comics were legit powerhouses (and a bit of a replacement of the Inhumans, too) and untouchable.

Excellent episode but man I just wish we could not with the Logan/Jean thing. It's possibly one of my least favorite subplots in all X-Men.
yeah it is kinda tiring having that constantly rehashed love triangle now expanded into a love quadrangle, AND at the same time also having a new entirely SEPARATE love triangle with Gambit, Rogue, and Magneto.

Its so tempting . In all honesty, even if I don't watch the show I hope it inspires future writers of animation. Maybe I'll wait till the show is over, binge watch the entire season then cancel my subscription.

Yeah, as of now it's 5 episodes in with 5 more to go. Unless they drop the final episodes together it might be a better idea to wait at least a week or two so you don't end up paying for 2 months.

Haha, so true. But it has the most obvious solution right now and they're just ignoring it.

Oh thanks for that, but I can't help but roll my eyes at some of that plot point. We'll see the direction the animated series takes it though lol.

It was utterly insane and the THREE major leaders (Xavier, Magneto and Cyclops) were all for it, especially Xavier essentially going "Hey, I tried my best but people are still assholes toward mutants, so we're gonna run our own thing."
For a while it was surreal that even the hardcore villains were all for it. Yes, for a short while, Apocalypse was part of the X-Men as a result of this. He thought it was super bold as hell to pull it off.

So good, I'm glad they're getting this right.

I finally seen all 5 episodes so far and let me tell you. Manly tears my fellow x men. Manly tears. So is the show following the comics or are they sort of doing their own thing?

according to some discussion on Reddit, the episode was mostly a combined adaptation of Mutant Massacre, E for Extinction, and Hellfire Gala. and maybe Krakoa? i've never read the comics so i can't judge the veracity of this.

Was not just Apocalypse, Sinister, cyclops's other brother who went mad in the comics, and every villain they ever had. Hell Kingpin married a mutant and got a instant pardon because they outright said that race mattered more then anything unless someone was betraying there kind or something.

They all but became more cultist then the Inhumans...and for all that humans still destroyed everything with Super hyper AI anyway so they compromised all there morals for nothing...and now Beast, Moria...Professor X and more have become so broken they are full dark side at this point and it would take a outright time warp to ever have them be trusted again so that's why...I really don't want the show to go down this path...I want the X-men to still be hero's in this timeline at least.

Ep 5 is mainly adapting E for Extinction since the reformed Genosha getting destroyed is the main point of that event, will have to see more aftermath to know the exact details. The rest mentioned are a bit of a stretch. Just because Morlocks, Moira, and a party are going on there doesn't really mean they're trying to do all those specific stories.

I saw speculation that after the blast they were all just wounded, and Leech nerfed their powers enough for the Sentinel to register them as dead. Personally, I don't think that's what happened but it would be poetic for Leech to be the one saving Magneto this time.

I feel like the show needs Magneto after that event. There has to be a mutant that goes nuts on the humans in retaliation and i don't think Cyclops or any of the established X-Men have it in them. Nor do I think they should.

Yeah, it's annoying. He needs to get over her and she needs to stop with these occasional teases. Given what he did in episode 3 I was surprised how mature he was here and rightly shut that down.

And yeah, I think Mags will be ok. And then there will be some kind of time travel stuff to fix some of the other stuff. We'll have to see.

People who keep saying this as if giving up is that easy if you actually care. Though it does look like Logan did give up, since he does tell her to go to Scott.

And? He clearly has moved on, but that doesnt mean he feels nothing for her now. He isnt a robot that will just delete the feelings. Or is he, since his memories were fucked with before. Anyways, he clearly has moved on, he specifically tells her to go to Scott in this episode instead of taking advantage of her emotionally unstable state.

Also not specifically aimed at you, why do people want fictional characters to be robots without any flaws or emotions? I always find it weird that some people go, I hate this scene or whatever is going on cause instead of doing the logical thing, the character acts like a human would.

Just watched today and I'm blown away.

My thoughts from another thread about it:

I just watched all 5 episodes and I absolutely love, love, LOVE it!

What a freaking ride. Some of the characterizations and voices felt slightly off at first, but that became a non-issue fast. The script is so freakin' good. There's a couple scenes where the pacing felt off and the jilted animation could be smoother(I'm pretty sure it's by design), but this show is incredible.

Easily one of the best X-Men related mediums in a long time.

RIP Remy. You'll be back.

Literally all of this. It's hilarious/sad that some posters genuinely cannot fathom moving past a person, who at the end of the day, you still have feelings for. Logan HAS moved on.
