I don't think there is a Mega Man besides 1 that doesn't have underwater ceiling spikes. Gitgud. But seriously, you eventually get pretty used to it.

The lasers are super intimidating at first, but they're mostly pretty easy to learn once you get over the shock of the concept. Sometimes you borderline need to be factoring in the "exit" of the next screen, which obviously you won't know the first time but the amount of memorization is minimal. Otherwise don't wait to hit the ground or even fully fall past the platform you just fell off of to change your left/right direction when necessary and it'll start getting easier.

You can get around that a little bit by using Items 1, 2, and 3, saves a few crash bomb shots.

3's easier than 2, probably, though the middle section is harder than anything in 2

For as great as MM2 is, Quick Man's stage is pretty stupid. I always just use that one boss weapon to get through the laser sections.

This may sound counter intuitive and depending on your reaction speed it may not be feasible in the laser section, but Mega Man falls faster from jumping off a platform than just walking off. So if you can get a tiny jump off whenever possible it will help you out in reaching the bottom faster. Ultimately getting your horizontal position right is the important thing, but this trick might help you just barely escape.
