Frats aren't really a thing here, afaik, but I always thought they seemed stupid. I'd probably take hazing about as well as Mike Tyson takes somebody hurting his pigeon, so it was never something I would've considered an option. I've known a lot of dudebros who were good people though.

Don't actually know anyone from the house.
When I was there, at least, I never heard anything about them. Some houses try to rebrand themselves after particularly quiet/uneventful semesters. From what I've seen, Beta Theta probably didn't party any harder than some of the other higher tier houses (theyre low tier, to my knowledge), they just had a really unfortunate accident and didn't respond in an acceptable manner. --- "I dont know If I believe in it, real lasting happiness, All those perky, well-adjusted people you see in movies and TV shows ? I have mixed feelings on the existence of fraternities. On one hand, I've been to frat parties (at Penn State too) and they can be enjoyable. There's just something invigorating and fun about a big party atmosphere like that, college would be missing something without it. It's amusing in all of its absurdity. You can also make legitimately business connections that will help you a lot on your career path, as someone already said.
On the other hand, there's a ton of frats who take shit way too far with hazing, over the top amounts of drinking and drug use, sexual assaults, and a bunch of other terrible things. I also have professionally worked with people who get stuck in the frat mentality seemingly for life (or at least well past college) and they're fucking atrocious human beings. Now that I think about it, I'd probably rather frats just don't exist. There's other parties to go to, and other ways to make business connections. --- Sign here. ... Copied to Clipboard!
