i didn't totally understand the story line but it was pretty funny so i enjoyed it

plus baby groot was sooooo cute and the end was a tearjerker.

The story is fairly standalone. You miss a small amount of character growth and how they came together from the first movie. But nothing really critical to understanding this one.

They do a good job of explaining Rocket's motivations for the theft without brow beating you with it.

I loved it. I think Yondu and Drax stole the show.

yeah i thought it was great overall but the actual storyline about peter and his dad i didn't get

what benefit is there to turn the whole universe into planets filled with blue goo? like i guess i didn't get how that is achieving some kind of goal

I think Ego's view was that lesser life forms didn't matter because they were temporary, it's why when he met Peter he was thrilled to no longer be alone

By taking over other planets I think he was essentially making new celestials

He was literally assimilating the entire universe all at once. He didn't have enough raw power on his own to do it. Because everything else was temporary it was the whole "bring order to the chaos" scenario. By making everything part of themselves there would be no more chaos. Only Ego.

i like how he was out ho'ing around the universe made me laugh

I really wouldn't agree with this though. He's a major character in the comics, sure, but within the MCU itself he's completely throwaway. I don't even think Wanda mentions him in Civil War.

Yeah I was just listing the people who have died that I could think of. Coulson was a big deal when it happened but it's like eh whatever now and he already got brought back.

Thors mom was kinda important but meh. Quicksilver was like literally nothing but annoying.

Yondu was awesome and will be missed.

It was a great movie.

Taserface! Overall I loved the movie and the amount of comedy and jokes that was put in. Some of it felt out of place but still got me a chuckle or two (i.e. the fruit not being ripe yet)
