I mean, people are defending Spacey because he didnt explicitly say I did not do that so of course if a guys response to an allegation is to drop off the mortal coil, people will definitely defend him.

Are you seriously this naive? Unless they can prove shes full of shit (almost impossible unless she confesses) his life is basically ruined. Very few people will sit there and think "oh hey that allegation was bullshit after all! hope he gets back in work". And will just still assume he must be guilty.

It does seem like kind of a knee-jerk reaction. He was suspended, not fired, and that was only one business day prior to his death. People in the article are quoted as saying he should have had more chance to defend himself, but he didn't seem too interested in trying. Can't really use this to say he wasn't given a chance.
