But my current girlfriend, I can totally see myself married to her eventually. She's literally everything I've ever wanted from a girl and more, same for her towards me. Plus the sex is fucking insane. There's like, electricity between us whenever we are together, it's the strangest thing, I've never felt that with any other girl.

My reasoning was more due to seeing so many divorces. But then I realized that you really just need to wait until the one you're with is someone you legitimately want to never be apart from forever.

People with this reasoning are either saying it because they're afraid, they got burned, or it's a failure of the imagination.

People get married for the wrong reasons or to the wrong person all the time. That's why the divorce rate is what it is. But people always ignore the bliss that comes from a good marriage. It's another level entirely when you have a best friend you get to share life with. It's less lonely. Someone is there to help you out when you need it. It's truly enriching when it's right.

People should be saying, "I won't marry until I find that". Maybe they don't find that, and it's best not to force it if they don't. But automatically assuming that it's impossible/they won't find it is just....sad.

If it all checks out, full speed ahead I guess. But at my age (turning 32 this year) I don't feel like I'll ever find it. Every girl is either just looking to sleep around or has "I can't fix you" level baggage.

Fair enough. It just makes sense because when you're just dating someone they're typically on their best behaviour/looking their best all the time. Living together you'll see them at their worst. Maybe they're a complete slob or have other disgusting habits and you guys get on each other's nerves all the time. Those are things you don't really want to wait until you're married to find out about.
