Wait for a sale. Or there's a variety I like called Sweet Baby Ray's, they sell it for $4 a bag at Christmas Tree Shops. It's a BBQ sauce. Need other brands if you like spicy or peppered.

I do like their BBQ sauce. I use it at home. My roommate does, too...

Me too. That's why I grabbed a bag the first time I saw it. You have to buy it at CTS because I've seen it at other stores for the usual $6 or so a bag.

I know a couple people who have made their own. I also like this one from a certain place. But its a couple hours away. When I knew a guy who went there every weekend, we would sometimes give him the cash to bring some back to us...

I make my own. Wait for London Broil to go on sale, partially freeze it just so it's firm enough to cut into nice even strips, then marinate it for at least 12-24 hours before dehydrating.

Check out this price for toffee. It's good toffee but damn those prices. What is this New York Rent? I've bought steaks cheaper.

I was just talking about wanting a dehydrator to make my own beef jerky cause I can't afford it in the shops and you get so little from them.

Yeah, I like those Teriyaki Tendor Bites things and a bag of those is about $8 where I live and you don't really get a whole lot in the bag. I ended up just not bothering anymore since I'm not big on snacking and there are cheaper snacks that satisfy me just as well or better. I particularly really love Wheat Thins Tomato and Basil flavor.

If you're going to get store-bought jerky, spring for the 1-pound bags that are like 11-12 bucks. You pay more but you get a decent amount and the quality is usually better.

Check around for people making and selling Jerky, it's generally the best and it's fresh as well. That is the best Jerky I have ever had. Was working at some place in California and this dude would come around and sell his jerky (hmm that sounds obscene). Anyway it was delicious and it was like $5 a pound or something, crazy cheap (mind you this was like 25 years ago lol).

It's pricey, but not something I eat very often. I don't mind paying $6+ for a nice little pouch of some high quality jerky. Krave chili-lime is my favorite.

It's always been about $16 for a regular-sized package which is completely unaffordable for what you get. I think I've bought three packages in my entire life.
