I purposely avoid videos like that. Whenever they pop up in my yt recs I'm always like nope disinterested plz go away. Too much negativity in the world :(

Because good news doesn't get views. People like to be angry and bitter, so flock to the negative news instead.

There's a fair bit of conversation about this, though I can't find a particular name for the theory. Supposedly connected to this is another hypothesis that mentally healthier societies are less likely to dwell on negative experiences over positive ones than those with more issues.

Because unfortunately that's what most people are drawn to, especially when they can criticize a game for not being exactly what they want no matter how unrealistic their demands are.
