So, there are something like 800 Pokemon or whatever, and about 400 have made it into Sword and Shield. Fans are saying that this isn't nearly enough, that they've been "cheated", etc etc etc.

I don't understand what is wrong with 400. That seems like a lot to me. I mean...400 types of character. Plus, the original only had 150 Pokemon. I think the next, had about 250.

Wtf are people on about?

The 3DS, something significantly weaker than the Switch, could hold over 700 Pokemon.

The Switch, which is capable of running something like The Witcher 3, could barely hit half of that number WHILE using animations and character models that haven't changed from X/Y.

It doesn't add up whatsoever.

It's also not like the removal of these pokemon helped the game's performance when the game isn't renderering anything that isn't 5 feet in front of you and hardly animates anything.

People want something to complain about, and Game Freak's terrible attempts at damage control just made them a bigger target.

I guarantee you, had GF not tried to justify the cuts they made, or been more honest as to why they were being made, the fanbase wouldn't be anywhere near as rabid. There'd still be people complaining, but on a much smaller scale.

People feel cheated because we never got what was promised. The entire purpose of "Dexit" was so they can improve on other aspects of the game. They clearly have not.
