Hyperbolic Time Chamber is cool if you need to learn a skill fast for something, but if you use it too many times you'd age pretty quickly

Does the internet and electricity work in the time chamber? Otherwise it is is pretty useless compared to teleporting.

i'd pick HTC if i was younger, nowadays growing older feels scary.

on 2nd thought, i'd pick HTC if it's actually just a 300x time scale, not strictly 1 day=1 year.
so if i spent 5 hours in the chamber, i can exit back to the real world and only 1 minute passed.

HTC would be better if I didn't age inside it. But because I still age, I think I'd prefer the teleportation. I mean, the amount of time I'd save on commuting might make up for it alone

Regardless I'd choose teleporting. The money you'd save on gas, wear and tear on a vehicle, no more sitting in traffic or having to worry about other morons on the road. Definitely the better of the two.

What about a hypobolic time chamber 1 day in the chamber one year in the real world or maybe go in there for 6 hours if you want to avoid a certain time of the year.

You can go in and out whenever. No limits.

And you don't have to stay for the whole day. You can leave after 1 minute if you wanted.

I guess the biggest benefit of the time chamber is not having to pay rent/utilities /food. Otherwise it's pointless since you age.

Might've been a filler thing that doesn't apply to the canon episodes. If I remember correctly goku trained several times in it before the original series ended but for short periods.

Wait didn't they still need to eat and stuff in the HTC? But just one of the characters stocked it with food for a year? Unless in this scenario it has unlimited food of my choosing :D

You still age though. So while it's true you can spend extra time studying / working or what-not to get an advantage in the here and now, it does come at a pretty significant cost of shortening your lifespan.

It could possibly be worth it though, to get extra time in certain critical moments like before a major exam or project. Still, you'd have to be disciplined not to use it on trivial things like extra time for gaming

What I'm saying is that I don't understand the point of it. I can read or work out over the course of the year wherever I am. It'd be helpful to have zero distractions of course.

You can use it to get extra time to study for a critical test, or prepare for a critical meeting.

But yeah, the fact that you still age and need to eat/drink/sleep while in it really limits its effectiveness. All it *really* does is let you borrow time from the future to use it on the present

HTC is a negative not a positive.

Oh you can be alone for a year while you age. Unless you are really young it is borderline pointless and a negative.

At least teleport power you can be one hell of a phantom theif and can never have worry about being arrested or put in a prison.

Make it so you only age 1 day while you get a year of time. Then it becomes a real choice.

HTC only works in dbz because saiyans live forever.

Unless I only age a day or something while I'm in there.

I'd also rather teleport because I hate driving
