Effect: This monster may attack your opponents Life Points directly if during the battle phase its attack is lower than its original attack. First one would have seen some use back in the Synchro/Xyz days when Zombie decks were popular and monsters with effects that activated in or pulled from the graveyard were really starting to see a lot of use. But these days, it's too slow and too weak of an effect to be useful.

Second one would have been good pre-Synchro, when slow decks that stalled with stuff like Gravity Bind and chipped away at opponents slowly were actually viable. But a tactic like that is too slow to work well even in the Synchro era, much less beyond that into more modern times.
